HighLevel vs Keap
Both are CRMs with email, pages, and a pipeline. Keap sells one platform for a business. HighLevel sells sub-accounts for an agency’s clients.
Keap’s pricing page says it no longer uses feature-based plans. You get the platform, then pay more for contacts, users, and texting. HighLevel’s plan price changes when you need more client sub-accounts, rebilling, or SaaS mode. Prices below are from the public pages on October 4, 2026, and can change.
What each tool is for
HighLevel
HighLevel’s pricing page lists a CRM and pipelines, funnels and websites, email and SMS, calendars, and automation. Usage charges apply to phone, SMS, email, and some AI. Starter includes 3 sub-accounts. Unlimited and Pro include unlimited sub-accounts. The FAQ says contacts and users are unlimited on those plans. See what a sub-account is.
Keap
Keap’s pricing page lists one software platform: a CRM, tags and lists, lead scoring, landing pages, multi-page sales funnels, forms, email broadcasts and automated email, a sales pipeline, an appointment scheduler, quotes, invoices, and checkout. Text marketing is included at a small tier and can be upgraded. The page says text broadcasts are available in the U.S.
The same page does not list client sub-accounts. It prices users on one account: 2 licenses included, then $39/month for each additional user. It also says an implementation package is required. That package includes a strategy session, done-for-you automations, data import, migration, and ongoing calls. The page does not publish a fixed price for it. It says to ask.
Prices on the official pages
HighLevel Agency Starter is $97/month or $970/year, Unlimited is $297/month or $2,970/year, and Pro is $497/month or $4,970/year, as named on HighLevel’s pricing page. The breakdown is on the pricing page.
Keap’s pricing page says the platform starts at $299/month. The same price block also shows $2,988/year next to the billing control. The page says to ask about current promotional offers, so the number on the site and the number on a quote may differ. Additional contacts are tiered. The page says to enter a contact count to see that price. It does not publish one contact price.
| Keap charge | What the pricing page says |
|---|---|
| Platform | Starting at $299/month. A $2,988/year figure is also shown. Promotional offers are mentioned, not listed. |
| Users | 2 user licenses included. Additional users are $39/month each. |
| Contacts | Tiered. No single public rate. The page says to enter a contact count. |
| Texting | Tier 1 is included: 500 messages and 100 voice minutes. Higher tiers start at $24/month. Overages are $0.015 per message and $0.01 per minute. U.S. only for this feature. |
| Implementation | Required. No fixed price on the page. |
| Leaving an annual contract | The FAQ says you can cancel, and that an annual contract charges a $299 early termination fee if you cancel before the year ends. The request has to be made by phone at least 10 days before the next invoice. |
Keap’s FAQ says the free trial does not need a credit card. It also says the trial can send at most 25 emails, cannot process payments, and cannot send or receive texts.
Recommendation
Try HighLevel if you want an agency platform with a sub-account per client, CRM, funnels, and email in that account. Three clients fit on the $97 Starter plan. More clients are the Unlimited plan, not a second copy of the software.
Use Keap if you are buying one CRM for one business and you want its pipeline, email, and funnels, and you will pay for implementation on top of the software. Do not compare HighLevel’s $97 plan with Keap’s $299 starting price as if contacts, users, and setup were included the same way. Keap’s contact price is a quote, and implementation has no published number.
