HighLevel vs Kartra

Kartra is an all-in-one toolkit for one business, capped by contacts. HighLevel is an agency plan capped by sub-accounts.

Back to the homepage

Kartra’s pricing page sells pages, funnels, email, memberships, and checkout in one subscription. The plans differ by contacts, pages, domains, and team size. HighLevel’s plans differ by how many client sub-accounts you can open. Prices below are from the public pages on October 4, 2026. They can change.

What each tool is for

HighLevel

HighLevel lists a CRM and pipelines, a website and funnel builder, email and SMS, calendars, and automation. Usage fees apply to phone, SMS, email, and some AI. Starter includes 3 sub-accounts. Unlimited and Pro do not cap sub-accounts. The FAQ says contacts and users are unlimited on those plans. Sub-accounts are how an agency separates clients.

Kartra

Kartra’s plan cards list pages, forms, a funnel mapper, checkouts, email, and, on higher plans, memberships, video, calendars, automations, affiliates, and a helpdesk. The page also says there is a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The comparison table on that page has a row named “Agency capacity.” The checkmarks in that row did not read clearly, so this page does not say which Kartra plan includes it. Check the live table. It is not the same thing as a HighLevel sub-account unless Kartra’s own description says so.

Prices on Kartra’s pricing page

HighLevel Agency Starter is $97/month or $970/year, Unlimited is $297/month or $2,970/year, and Pro is $497/month or $4,970/year. See the pricing page for what each one adds.

Kartra’s monthly prices below are what the page shows with the monthly toggle on. The yearly toggle shows a lower per-month figure and labels Essentials, Starter, and Growth as billed annually. Professional shows $429/month on that yearly view.

Kartra plan Price on the page Limits named on the plan card
Essentials $59/month, or $52/month billed annually 500 contacts, 10,000 emails/month, 5% transaction fee, 1 custom domain, 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership or course.
Starter $119/month, or $99/month billed annually 2,500 contacts, unlimited email and SMS, 0% transaction fee, 1 custom domain, unlimited pages and products, 5 team members.
Growth $229/month, or $189/month billed annually 12,500 contacts, unlimited email and SMS, 0% transaction fee, 3 custom domains, 10 team members, plus automations, affiliates, and helpdesk support.
Professional $549/month on the monthly view, $429/month on the yearly view Everything in Growth, plus 25,000 contacts, 5 custom domains, real-time funnel analytics, and helpdesk live chat.

Kartra’s FAQ says that if you pass the lead limit, the account is upgraded to the next tier and you are charged a mid-cycle reconciliation fee. It also says there is no add-on to buy more custom domains. You change plans. The 5% fee is listed on the Essentials card only. Starter and Growth cards say 0%.

Recommendation

Try HighLevel if you want an agency platform — CRM, funnels, and email — and a sub-account for each client. The contact list is not the meter on Starter, Unlimited, or Pro. The meter is the number of client accounts: 3, then unlimited.

Use Kartra if you are one business and the contact cap on a plan covers your list. Essentials is the cheapest card and the one with a 5% fee on sales, 500 contacts, and 5 pages. Starter is the first card that says 0% transaction fees. Read the lead-limit rule before you assume a cap is only a warning.
